Friday 3rd July 2020

Hello everyone! I hope all of you have been enjoying your learning, whether at home or in school. It is my pleasure to award this week’s HEART awards to both Carmen and Asha, who have been very welcome and friendly new members of our class.

Today’s work is the same for all of you, whether or not you’ve been in school. I hope you enjoy working hard to develop your skills.

Thursday 2th July 2020

Hello, I hope you’re all OK. We’ve been enjoying learning to sing along to this video. You might enjoy it too!

I’ve found a great game to help you practise your money counting skills. Try it here.

I've added the tree identification checklist we've used at school for our science work, in case you want to use it too.

Wednesday 1st July 2020

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's creative writing challenge and learning about money. Remember that activities are available for you all week on Spelling Shed, Maths Shed and Purple Mash.

Looking for this week’s science lesson? Find it here.

Tuesday 30th June 2020

Today, we’re halfway through 2020, and what an unusual year it’s turned out to be.

Have you earnt any badges on the Summer Reading Challenge yet? I like how you unlock rewards (like printable posters and interesting videos) when you earn new badges. If you’ve not yet had a go, sign up and have fun reading!

Looking for this week’s science lesson? Find it here.

Monday 29th June 2020

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Well done to Eben for working hard to earn the highest scores on both Spelling Shed and Maths Shed.

This week’s activities are ready for you on Spelling Shed, Maths Shed and Purple Mash and will be available all week. Please have a go at the Purple Mash activity, as it’s such a fun game that I think you’ll enjoy it.

This week’s science lesson is about how trees change through the seasons, so take a look here to get started. See the attached tree identification sheet for help.

Friday 26th June 2020

Had you noticed I’d made a mix up with the numbers in the dates this week? It reminded me that mistakes are an important part of learning, whether you’re in school or at home. Mistakes aren’t a problem in our learning; instead, they’re an opportunity to notice where you’ve gone wrong and learn how to avoid them in future.

I’m delighted to award this week’s HEART award to Eben, for his hard work at Spelling Shed. Well done, Eben!

Today’s the last weekday for Spelling Shed and Maths Shed, so why not have a go today and boost your skills and your score?

School Sports Week

It's National School Sports Week this week - I'll (Mr B-D) be posting daily activities for you to complete from home, make sure you let your teacher know how you have got on - here's Friday's Challenge:

Thursday 25th June 2020

I hope you’re all keeping as cool as you can this week. Do you remember when we did weather diaries in Autumn and Spring? You could compare what you remember with the weather diary you’re completing this week. See here if you’re starting the science lesson today.

You might find the interactive hundred square here useful for your maths lesson today. I’ve also included a warm up Powerpoint on tens and ones to help you revise the skills you’ll need in today’s lesson.

Wednesday 24th June 2020

Hello home learners! I hope you’re all well and enjoying the activities I’ve been setting for you. Today is National Writing Day, so I hope you enjoy your creative writing task. If you’d prefer to write a completely different story to the one in the English activity, feel free to do so. Have fun and enjoy your writing!

Why not have a go at our counting song again, to help you to memorise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s?https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/ks1-maths-counting-with-john-farnworth/zbct8xs
