Hello everyone and a big welcome to Year 1.

Summer Term 1 - Magic Garden! 

This half-term our new topic is all about the amazing world we live in. We will be learning how to identify common plants and trees. Please see the attachments below for more information. 

General reminders 

PE

PE in Year 1 is on Monday and Thursday. To avoid bringing lots of things to and from school, we ask that on these days children come to school dressed in their full Hollinhey PE kit. 

Reading

Reading books will be changed twice a week, on a Tuesday and a Friday. Please sign your child's reading record when you listen to them read and we will do the same in school. 

Homework

Weekly homework is set on a Wednesday. There will maths and phonics tasks on EdShed as well as a sheet to complete in your folder. There is also an enrichment activity sheet.  This consists of more creative tasks and does not need submitting but if you wish to bring in any work that is lovely too!
