School Dinners

All meals are cooked on the premises and are free for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and paid for in advance at a cost of £2.40 per day for Year 3 and above.  Children select a weekly pattern of meals, for example dinners everyday or dinners on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. We assume that this pattern will be followed unless you tell us otherwise.  Please inform us of any changes by 9am on the day so we can inform the kitchen how many meals to prepare.  Alternatively, children may bring packed lunches.

There are also other special lunches from time to time to celebrate different occasions including Mothers’ Day or Fathers’ Day when relatives can join their children for lunch.

Paying for school dinners

School dinners are free for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and cost £2.40 per day for Year 3 and above.  Our preferred method of payment is using the online payments system School Gateway  https://schoolgateway.co.uk/  Payments for dinners do not have to be in multiples of £2.40 and many parents pay for a whole week, half term or term at once.  Every child has a school dinner account and payments are credited to their account and dinners taken are charged to their account.  Any unused balance will be carried forward.  Statements can be produced showing all these transactions on request to the school office.

If you pay for an extra dinner online please also inform the office so we can inform the kitchen to prepare an extra meal.

If you have more than one child at the school, one payment can be allocated to different children when you pay online.  Please ask at the office if you wish to transfer money from one child's account to another.
