Summer 2 - Under the Sea

WC 29th June:

The book of the week this week is:

Winnie and Wilbur under the Sea: Thomas, Valerie ...

The Winnie and Wilbur book collection used to be one of my favourites when I was younger and I used to enjoy listening and reading them. I hope you enjoy this one just as much as I did.

Monday: Have a listen to the story of Winnie and Wilbur Under the Sea. Pay close attention to the illustrations of the sea creatures, they are rather unusual. Then, I would like you to create a list of sea creatures that Winnie and Wilbur may see under the sea. You could make a few names up based on the images from the story. In maths this week we are revisiting less and building subtraction number sentences.  Today have a look at the ages of Winnie and Wilbur and identify all the numbers that are less than their ages.

Today, why don't you create your own potion. What would you put in it? What would happen if you drank it?

Tuesday: Morning, did you know that in France Tuesday is pronounced as Mardi. Maybe you could have look at the what they rest of the day of the week are in French.

Winnie has a big, black cat called Wilbur, if you could have any pet what would you have?  I think I would have a pet tapir as when they are babies they are all stripy. Then in maths we are looking at one less today. Have fun!
