Governance & Finance
The governors meet regularly as a complete body to deal with a wide variety of school business. They are responsible for curriculum matters, building maintenance, staff appointments and deciding how the school’s budget should be spent.
The governors are keen to maintain clear lines of communication with parents and one or more governors are present at all school events including open days and curriculum evenings. Members of the Governing Body are delighted to talk about school life at any time and are also keen to hear your views.

As a school we recognise that a diversity of thought, voices and perspectives is essential to good governance and the effective running of any organisation. We regularly collect diversity information from our governors and, depending on current data, can use this:
- target recruitment to address gaps in experience and diversity
- develop and adapt board practices to ensure full participation
- prioritise training and awareness-raising in identified areas
- address potential 'blind spots' through seeking wider advice and perspectives on current and upcoming opportunites, challenges and risks
